The Fruita Branch of the Mesa County Public Library is a 7,000 SF branch library built as part of the 51,500 SF Fruita Community Center. A unique, hybrid program, the Fruita Library offers mental recreation and information resources to accompany the Community Center's facilities for fitness, swimming, and sport. The library was designed with simplicity, efficiency, and flexibility in mind. Vibrant colors create landmarks for wayfinding while solar light tubes flood the interior with daylight. The library includes a quiet reading room with a fireplace, children's area, teen zone, study and multifunction room.
